THINGS TO DO

STAY IN

Planning time away to just stay-in? It is very easy to arrive at Round Hill and not leave – sink into the luxury king bed, glide open the doors and simply soak in the view and bask in doing sweet nothing.
We have a selection of boardgames and books.
Enjoy a glass of wine, while you prepare a woodfire pizza for dinner.
Pack a picnic and find a spot in the paddock to enjoy!
Jump in and out of the pool to cool off.
Did someone say, spicy margarita – yes please!

EXPLORE

Montville

Explore the charming township of Montville Village. A short 15min drive with views of the Sunshine Coast and hinterland – be sure to stop at the lookouts!

You can do a spot of shopping, discover the galleries, wonder through the gardens and rainforest walks.

There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from – our favourite is Little May Espresso, the best brunch going around!

Pick-up some wine or stop in for lunch at the Flame Hill Vineyard.

Kenilworth

Head straight to the famous doughnuts at the Kenilworth Bakery, after a sugar-high discover the regions many water holes and creeks.

Choose from Booloumba Falls, Mary River access via Kenilworth Homestead or the Obi Obi creek crossing.

Before leaving town stock up on delicious award-winning cheese and other goodies at Kenilworth Dairies – perfect for enjoying a platter back at the cabin or by the water holes.

Maleny

Amazing food, micro-breweries and wineries – there is nothing not to love spending a day exploring Maleny.

Browse the shops and galleries along the main street, stop by the National Parks and Baroon Pocket Dam.

Don’t forget to pick-up ingredients for a picnic or your pizza to enjoy at the cabin when you return.

Palmwoods

Head down the range into the township of Palmwoods. Grazie and May and The Shed are worth popping into if you are a homewares lover like me!

Choose between burgers and beers at Rick’s Garage or lite, zesty Asian and a cocktail at Piggyback for lunch.

Mapleton

Sweet & Flour is our local bakery, heading out on one of the National Park trails, the bakery is perfect to grab a sandwich or my favourite a cheesy-mite scroll.

Mapleton Pub known by the locals as the Pink Pub, it your classic Aussie pub. A beer on their deck overlooking the coastline is a great afternoon out.

ADVENTURE

With Mapleton National Park on our doorstep, enjoy walking to waterfalls, past expansive gorges and resting along the way at rock pools. There are many trails to choose from.

Take some time to notice the plant life surrounding you and how the walks change from the depths of warm subtropical rainforest to tall open eucalypt forest.

Bring your gravel bike for a ride to Montville or for something a little more exciting bring the offroad bike and hit the Mapleton downhill track.
