After a four-year search Chloe and Alex purchased the land in 2021. The property once part of a working cattle farm, now divided and shared by a lovely community of neighbours.

Our vision was to embody the essence of Round Hill, creating a space that could be shared and would give back to the community.

Naming the property was symbolic and carries a number of meanings in our story. Chloe’s grandparents first met on a property down south called, Round Hill, holding a special place in our family history. The concept of a circular or round shape was important to symbolise a circular economy, we believe that in everything you do there is an opportunity to contribute back meaningfully. For every stay at Round Hill, a donation is made to Trees for the future, to support their mission.

In a landscape as picturesque as Round Hill, key to the design was ensuring the cabin sat within the environment without disrupting it. The distinct black exterior let’s your eye see the landscape before reaching the cabin.

We also envisioned creating a space where guests would lose track of time – drinking wine under the olive tree and watching the sun go down. The design elements centred not around a colour palette though around creating an atmosphere to be inspired, to reflect and connect.

We hope you are inspired by the spirit of Round Hill and embrace the feeling of revitalizing and contemplation.
